Green Sapphire

Green sapphire is corundum coloured by iron and titanium together, which is why the colour often shifts — olive in tungsten light, a cleaner sea-green in daylight.

Ceylon material tends to run lighter and brighter than the Australian or Thai equivalents. Mint-green stones with good clarity are the most sought after.
