Topaz

Topaz is a hard, clean stone that takes a brilliant polish, and the colour range is wider than most people expect — from a warm sherry yellow through to a pale sky blue.

Imperial topaz, the pinkish-orange variety, is the valuable one and is rarely treated. Blue topaz is almost always irradiated, which is a stable and accepted treatment but one we always disclose. Both are good value; they are just not the same product.
